Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open Announces Expanded Community Program

The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open tennis tournament is preparing to announce an expanded community outreach program to bring schools, students, youth ambassadors, and the public closer to the tournament's atmosphere. This expansion is in preparation for the fourth edition of the tournament, which will take place from January 31 to February 7, 2026, at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City. This expansion reaffirms the tournament's commitment to supporting Abu Dhabi's status as one of the world's premier tennis destinations, where elite competitions meet the popularization of the game at a grassroots level. The programs open the door for schools, youth, and various segments of society to experience tennis up close. This year, the school program is expanding to reach nurseries, public schools, partnership educational schools, and private schools across the emirate. The program includes activities that combine creativity inspired by tennis players with the development of basic skills at an early age, and provides students with the opportunity to get close to the tournament's atmosphere. Students will participate in a nationwide art competition using recycled materials inspired by tennis, as well as the 'Design Your Bag' campaign, whose works will be displayed in the fan zone. The program also includes the 'Little Stars' event, where children walk through the fan zone in outfits inspired by tennis stars. Additionally, the program features other campaigns focused on sustainability, such as an initiative that places a plantable seed inside a tennis ball, and an activity that allows the public to write letters to the players to raise environmental awareness. This year, the tournament aims to reach 20,000 students across the emirate's schools, giving them the chance to get close to the game of tennis through training sessions, interactive games, activities, and fun gifts.
